Join the squad
Ready to serve your community?
BSRS has been volunteer-led since 1983. We're always looking for new members to help cover the calls we receive — in Baywood and the communities around it.
Who we need
Certified providers. Drivers. Neighbors.
We're always recruiting to keep our ALS ambulances staffed and ready around the clock. Whether you've been in EMS for years or you're just getting started with your certification, we have a place for you on the team.
If you're ready to serve your community, we would love to have you.

Email baywood.sar@gmail.com to let us know you're interested. We'll send you the application and walk you through the paperwork.

Step 02
State background check
The state runs a standard background check. This can take a few weeks; we handle the submission on our end.
-
Step 03
Introductory meeting
Within 90 days of submitting your application, you'll attend a meeting to be introduced to the current members and learn how we operate.
-
Step 04
Probationary period
Once accepted, you'll be placed on probation while you learn the service, equipment, and protocols. You can function within your scope alongside active members, and become primary after probation.
Not certified yet?
We still want to hear from you.
Community support matters just as much as on-scene response. Fundraising, events, station upkeep — there's always a way to contribute. Send us a note and we'll find the right fit.
